HHC 101

Since HHC (Hexahydrocannabinol) came onto the market in Germany, it has taken the hearts of cannabis lovers by storm - with good reason. The effect of HHC can hardly be distinguished from the effect of classic THC, even for connoisseurs.

You can find out what else you should know about HHC here. But always remember, this is only intended to provide information.
Nothing can replace your own research on the topic.

Be Responsible!

First, a few important facts

  • Legal in Germany/EU

Despite its close relationship to THC, hexahydrocannabinol is not subject to the narcotics law in Germany and is therefore legal to sell, purchase and consume.

  • Natural cannabinoid

In addition to THC and CBD, HHC is another of the 85 natural cannabinoids discovered so far from the hemp plant.

However, since it only occurs in small quantities in classic hemp plants, it is obtained from CBD by hydrogenation.

  • HHC has an intoxicating effect

Although HHC is derived from CBD, unlike its precursor, it has an intoxicating and euphoric effect.
The effect of HHC is very similar to that of THC. In the USA, where HHC has enjoyed great popularity for a long time, it is often preferred to THC, which is also legal there.

People who sometimes have problems with anxiety and paranoia with THC often do better with HHC.

Here is a short report from the Plus editorial team of BR, Bayerischen Fernsehen..

As you will see, the guys from Bavarian Television are also positively surprised by the effect of HHC.

They also rightly identify contamination as a potential risk associated with cheaply manufactured HHC vapes.

OUR PENS:

  • Are guaranteed free of contamination
  • Contain 0.0% THC
  • Definitely legal

History & extraction

Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is one of 85 cannabinoids discovered to date and was discovered in 1940 by the American chemist Roger Adams - but has received little attention since then.

The reason for this: Compared to other cannabinoids, HHC is only contained in very small proportions in the hemp plant. In order to obtain significant quantities, complex processes are necessary.

However, HHC can also be produced from THC using a simple process. Since the price of THC fell dramatically with the US boom in recent years, commercial production of HHC has suddenly become possible.

Questions about questions

Yes, HHC is psychoactive, meaning it will get you high.
The effect is very similar to that of classic THC.
Like THC, HHC is active on the cannabinoid receptors CB1 & CB2.

The potency of HHC is difficult to quantify because intoxicating experiences are perceived rather subjectively.
It is generally believed that HHC has approximately 60%-80% of the potency of THC.
The ratio of 9R & 9S HHC seems to play a big role, as the 9R variant is able to dock much better with CB1.

It is difficult to determine how safe HHC is without long-term studies.
However, HHC is a natural cannabinoid, meaning that people have been consuming HHC in the form of classic cannabis for thousands of years.

A more relevant problem, however, is contamination during the manufacturing process.

Therefore, we only sell products that are extensively tested and analyzed to 100% rule out contamination.

Laboratory analysis

The duration of action is similar to that of classic cannabis, approx. 3-8 hours.

There are no definitive answers to this yet. It is believed that HHC is not metabolized to 11-hydroxy-THC. Since classic drug tests test for these metabolites, it is reasonable to assume that simple 12-panel drug tests do not detect HHC.
However, there are anecdotes of people whose tests came back positive after consuming HHC.

A resounding yes! HHC, like THC, helps many people who have trouble falling asleep. Indica varieties such as, for example, are best suited for this

If you are pregnant, you should definitely avoid consuming HHC or cannabis in general.

Yes, as of today .. We'll see how the legal situation develops. Some EU countries have included HHC in their regulations and thus banned it.
In Germany, however, HHC is not subject to the BtMG or “FAA?” and is therefore legal. Like I said, we'll see. As long as the shop is online, HHC is still legal in Germany.
